Athleisure: Where to find stylish, casual clothes on sale to wear all day, everywhere
3 min readMore of us are wearing a blend of athletic and leisure clothing — “athleisure” — all the time now. Instead of dressing for work and then heading to the gym, we’re hanging out all day in yoga pants, shorts and sweats. Call them pre-pajamas.
The coronavirus, shuttered businesses and schools, and amped-up online shopping have moved us perpetually into casual athletic duds, according to researchers.
The NPD Group, which tracks sales data from stores and e-commerce sites, estimates that active clothing represents 28% of the total apparel dollars spent in the 12 months ending May 2020.
